From small-town Hungary to building real businesses in the UK
I moved to the UK 15 years ago from a small town in south-western Hungary — young, ambitious, and with absolutely no safety net (still young, just with better spreadsheets now).
Like many expats, I started where most people do: hotels, coffee shops, cleaning jobs. Long hours. No shortcuts.
Over time, I found my feet — and my second family — in the laundry and dry-cleaning industry, where I spent more than 12 years learning the operational side of running real businesses: systems, logistics, customer service, and the behind-the-scenes work most people never see.
That experience became the foundation for everything I do today in short-term rentals and property.
